European Specialist in Equine Surgery

Claire graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2010. After a spell in mixed practice she completed an internship at Rossdales, Newmarket and a residency in equine surgery at the University of Liverpool. During her residency Claire completed the CertAVP in both equine soft tissue surgery and equine orthopaedics and a Master’s degree focussing on equine synovial sepsis.  In 2020 Claire became a large animal diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons. From 2017-2019 Claire worked at Nantwich equine clinic with a caseload of not only equine surgery and orthopaedics but also ambulatory and first opinion equine practice too. For the past year Claire has been working on the island of Malta, in Malta’s first equine clinic. Her current role involves a wide variety of equine surgery, lameness exams and also educating local people about horse care and when to seek veterinary assistance. Outside of work Claire enjoys riding, distance running, and walking her three dogs Oakley, Frank and Stanley.
