BVSc MRCVS
Graduated from Bristol in 1976, with absolutely no dental training whatsoever. During his early years in practice he developed an interest in Ophthalmology, but in 1990 he attended BVDA courses and realised just how much he did not know. After attending more BVDA courses (the only ones running in the 1990’s), and sitting on the Board of the BVDA, he joined the second ESAVS 4 year Dentistry course in Luxembourg in 1997.
In 2000 he was elected to the Board of the EVDS and was there for 10 years, being President in 2004-2006.
He took dental referrals in his practice until his first retirement in 2016, and now concentrates on teaching dentistry, but also locums to see how dentistry is carried out currently in first opinion practice.
He was elected as President of the BVDA in 2019.
