Laura qualified as an RVN in 2010, gained the DipAVN in 2014 and graduated from Harper Adams University with a top-up degree in Advanced Veterinary Nursing in 2017. After spending the first half of her career working in first opinion and out-of-hours hospitals, Laura moved to a newly-opened referral hospital in 2015, to develop and support the internal medicine service. She currently works as a Senior RVN at The Ralph Veterinary Referral Centre, where she is passionate about all aspects of internal medicine, feline medicine and critical care. Laura became a Veterinary Technician Specialist in small animal internal medicine in 2019, and is a current BVNA council member.
