Heidi is an experienced and enthusiastic clinical specialist and a passionate educator. She has trained and worked at a variety of universities in Munich, Zurich, Georgia, Texas and Bern, and held positions in private practice and referral centres. In 2006 she joined Cambridge University and has since run a busy referral, resident and student teaching clinic in small animal orthopaedic surgery at the University’s Queen’s Veterinary School Hospital. Heidi plays an active role in the international society of veterinary specialists, e.g. as part of the ECVS examination committee and working with AO Vet, and she provides training to students and vets worldwide.

Heidi has a special interest in the assessment of outcomes after small animal orthopaedic surgery as an important part of evidence-based veterinary medicine, striving for excellence in all aspects of companion animal orthopaedic surgery and patient care. She has a particular clinical interest in joint surgery including minimal invasive techniques and gets excited about the management of all complex orthopaedic and trauma cases.
