This one-day course will take a pragmatic and practical approach to managing the collapsed patient. You will learn how to prioritise and stabilise what is most important, followed by the ongoing management of the critically ill patient.
We will take a case-based approach to emergency stabilisation, diagnostics and on-going management of patients with cardiovascular, respiratory and neurological disorders.
The format will be a combination of lectures and small group problem solving with didactic input from an emergency and critical care specialist. By the end of the day, you will be equipped with a toolkit to confidently manage your next emergency patient.
