Patients with heart disease can present with varied clinical signs, from acute life-threatening dyspnoea to a chronic cough and so provide an excellent opportunity for nurses to use a range of different skills for their care.

Case studies are used to cover the common cardiovascular diseases seen in dogs and cats, review how heart failure can occur and illustrate key nursing considerations.

This learning series with Charlotte Pace will demonstrate ECG interpretation, blood pressure measurement and cardiac auscultation to help consolidate the knowledge learnt so that you can use it back in your practice.
