Rachel Perry

Rachel graduated as a veterinary surgeon from Edinburgh University in 1997, and entered small animal practice. She soon developed an interest in small animal dentistry. Since 2010 her practice has been limited to small animal dentistry and oral surgery, and she provides first opinion and referral services in Sussex.

In 2012 she became a member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists by examination in the subject of small animal dentistry and oral surgery. She was Course Organiser for the BVDA from 2008-2014 and has lectured nationally and internationally. She has published original research and review articles in journals, textbooks and is regularly involved in on-line and in-house teaching for veterinary nurses and vets across the country. She has a particular interest in client communication skills.

In 2015 she became the first RCVS Advanced Practitioner in veterinary dentistry and in 2016 passed the European Veterinary Dental College board examinations, becoming a European Veterinary Specialist in Veterinary Dentistry. In her spare time she competes in and coaches triathlon.


Stacey Parker


Stacey qualified as an RVN in 2014, and since then has gained the NCert in both Anaesthesia and Dentistry, BVNA Oral Care Nurse Certificate, BSAVA Merit in Anaesthesia and Emergency Critical Care, and ISFM certificate in Feline Nursing.

She is currently a Referral Veterinary Anaesthesia and Dental Nurse at Perry Referrals, working with Rachel Perry, both a RCVS and European Veterinary Specialist in Dentistry. Stacey is  extremely passionate about Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia, particularly within the dentistry world.

Outside of her clinical work she provides bespoke in-house dental and anaesthesia training sessions for vets and nurses. Stacey feels lucky to love her job, both the clinical and teaching aspects and hopes to make veterinary nurses life’s that little bit easier by sharing the experience and education she has been able to gain along her professional journey.
