Head Nurse

I trained as a diploma nurse, qualifying from MYF training in 2015, I trained at Ash House Vets a primary care in Aldershot during this time. I stayed on for about a year and moved to Fitzpatrick Referrals in 2016 as an anaesthesia nurse.

In 2018 I was promoted to Senior Prep Nurse at Fitzpatrick Referrals, during which time I would mentor new nurses and work closely with the anaesthetist on more complex cases. Here I handled a lot of complex anaesthesia and Intensive care patients in both Orthopaedics and Neurology. Around late 2018 – early 2019 I was promoted to Clinical Nurse Co-ordinator, running the surgical floor and being a point of contact on the floor for anaesthetic concerns.

I moved to Pet Doctors Woking into a Head Nurse position in March 2020, for a more clinical/training role. I have completed the Royal Veterinary College Graduate Diploma in Professional and Clinical Veterinary Nursing specialising in anaesthesia, emergency and critical care and surgical nursing.

At Fitzpatrick referrals I have performed lectures for multiple different aspects of nursing care, and co-ordinated and performed practical CPR lectures at the Fitzpatrick Referrals open day.
