Dr Hélène Le Pommellet obtained her Veterinary Medicine Degree from the University of Nantes (ONIRIS – France) in 2008 followed by a rotating internship at the University of Nantes and a surgical internship at The DMV Center in Montreal (Canada). After that she worked 1 year in a referral center as a surgery intern and went back the small animal surgery service at the University of Nantes as a surgery instructor for 2 years before leaving France to pursue her surgery specialization in the USA with a clinical fellowship at Michigan State University followed by a Small Animal Surgery Residency at The Ohio State University. She graduated her master’s degree at the Ohio State University working on pediatric osteosarcoma with Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus (OH) in 2017 and passed the American College of Veterinary Surgery Boards in 2018. She has been working as a small animal surgeon in the South of France for 3,5years before joining Novetech Surgery’s team this year.
Mark Morton is an RCVS Specialist in Small Animal Orthopaedic Surgery. He is an Orthopaedic Surgeon and Clinical Lead at ChesterGates Veterinary Specialists. His research interests include common calcaneal tendon (Archilles tendon) injuries. He has developed and published a new surgical technique for these injuries using a new implant developed from a similar technique in people. Mark is the Clinical Lead for the RCVS Knowledge Canine Cruciate Registry and Education Co-Chair of British Veterinary Orthopaedic Surgeon.
