This highly practical course will cover the most common forelimb fractures seen in practice, giving delegates the confidence to successfully manage them surgically. Surgical approaches, surgical planning, potential complications and fracture reduction techniques will be introduced in short theory-based lectures prior to each practical session. This will allow delegates to gain an understanding of the basic surgical principles involved before moving on to spend the majority of the day practising techniques in cadaver-based practical sessions.

Topics to be covered include:
  • Transverse radius and ulnar shaft fractures
  • Lateral condylar fractures of the humerus
  • Metacarpal Fractures

Some feedback about this course...

"Thoughts on the lecturer: Best I have seen! Very practical, theory short but effective." April 2018
"Excellent lecturer, great notes and demonstrations of surgery, high level of one-to-one help in practical sessions. Great location, easy to find. Great refreshments. Excellent course." April 2018
"It was a well constructed, highly practical course and exactly the sort of cpd I find useful. Georg was obviously very knowledgable and able to articulate and demonstrate a huge number of options with each of the fractures we created. I thoroughly enjoyed my time. Thank you. This is one of the best cpd courses I have ever attended." April 2018
