This one-day, case-based course is aimed at providing delegates with the confidence to accurately neuro-anatomically localise and form a succinct list of differential diagnoses. We will re-cap the neurological examination before embarking on a case based interactive approach to the most commonly encountered neurological emergencies. Intra-cranial, spinal and neuromuscular emergencies will all be covered and delegates will learn when to refer but also what can be done in first opinion practice when referral isn’t an option.
Topics to be covered include:
- The neurological exam and how to localise
- Seizures – what to do and when
- The most common intra-cranial, spinal and neuromuscular emergencies – a case based interactive video tour and discussion
- What to do when referral isn’t an option
