This course is aimed at vets who are looking to learn how to use locking plating for fracture repair. It is a practical hands-on course which will include presentation theory, hands on sawbones exercises and cadaver wet lab practice. The course will use the Rita Leibinger LeioLOX plating system in various sizes, with a variety of fracture types covered. We will look at the principles of locking plating technology and their application. We will discuss decision making in fracture repair and look at the difference and benefits between titanium and stainless steel. Complications and solutions will be looked at and discussed throughout the course, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and get hands on with the kit.
