This course aims to give hands on experience in performing the surgical techniques necessary to deal with common emergency presentations and as such is suitable for all vets in practice. Topics to be covered include:

  • GDV surgery and gastropexy techniques
  • Haemoabdomen – splenectomy, and what if it’s not the spleen?

Some feedback about this course...

"It exceeded my expectations! I appreciated the small group size, and that we were provided with one cadaver between two course attendees. This created an optimal and personalised learning environment."- Emergency Surgery Course- May 2018
"Paul Aldridge was both an excellent lecturer and practical teacher! He patiently answered all of our questions and regularly visited each practical table. His lectures were pitched at the right level, and he was engaging and kept both me and my colleagues' interest. His notes were also of a good standard and I will definitely refer to them in practice. I also found his videos of surgical procedures very useful." Emergency Surgery Course- May 2018
